She's confused and convinced by the future's blindfold.
She's in two minds to panic, or which way to run,

She won't always be 'fraidy or nervous or lost,
But she has no idea just how much it will cost
To get out of the twilight and into the sun

So we'll watch and support her and kid her and care,
And we'll laugh at the show and the clothes and the hair,
And love her each day.. like we always have done...
